Australind Chemmart Pharmacy is subject to the Privacy Act 1988 of the Commonwealth of Australia because we are an organisation as defined by that Act and hold personal information.

Why we have this policy
This policy statement has been prepared to help us to comply with our privacy obligations under the National Privacy Principles for the purposes of the Act and to inform you about your privacy rights.

About the information we hold
To help meet your health care needs we may hold and use records, including your name and address details, your medication record and other health care information that you or your treating doctor or other health practitioner may need to supply us. This personal information will be used only for the purposes of meeting your health care needs, unless you consent to its use for other purposes, or the law permits its use for other purposes. For some transactions we will not need to collect any personal information.

Much of the information we collect must be collected because the law requires it. For example, details of your prescriptions are required to be collected under the National Health Act and State or Territory Pharmacy legislation. You need to be aware that if you do not provide us with certain information about yourself, in some circumstances we may be unable to provide a service that you require.

Australind Chemmart Pharmacy has provided this privacy statement to demonstrate our strong commitment to protecting your privacy, and to detail how your personal information is managed in our pharmacy and on this website.

We do not ever sell your email address or any other information you provide.
We do not disclose your details or data to any third party except where required by law.

We may monitor server logs to determine usage patterns of our site. We also extract information on browser types and referring sites to help with site design. However, no information that identifies individuals is gathered or retained by us.

Australind Chemmart Pharmacy Returns and Refunds Policy
Australind Chemmart Pharmacy will happily assist customers who wish to return or exchange goods purchased from the pharmacy. Australind Chemmart pharmacy has a refund policy that is always in favour of the customer. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase we are happy to refund or replace the product to the full value of the purchase If the return or refund is due to an error made by Australind Chemmart Pharmacy e.g. wrong product supplied, damaged or faulty good we will refund the full cost of the purchase. If the return or refund is due to an error made by the customer e.g. wrong selection or change of mind we will also refund the full cost of the purchase.*

Terms and Conditions applicable to Returns and Refunds Policy
We require that all returns and refunds be returned to the pharmacy within 7 days of purchasing the product. If you cannot return the product within this time frame please notify the pharmacy within the 7 day period and advise when you will be able to return the product. Once contact has been made that you cannot return to the pharmacy within that time frame we can extend it to no more than 30 days from purchase date. Under this circumstance the product must be accompanied by a receipt for proof of purchase as well as having to meet conditions as stated below.

Return / Exchange of Non-Faulty Goods
(i) With A Receipt
• We can provide a refund.
• All returned goods must be unused, in original packaging and in saleable condition.
• Receipts must be valid and intact.
All refunds will be provided back in the original tender.
Cheques and debit cards will be refunded as cash and credit card refunds must be processed back onto the original credit card.
Note: The original credit card must be present to gain a refund.

(ii) Without A Receipt
We will provide a Credit Note to the value of the item purchased.
The Credit note is not redeemable for cash or Gift Cards.
• All goods for exchange must be unused, in original packaging and in saleable condition.
• Positive identification will be required.i.e driver’s licence or passport.
• Credit notes are valid for 14 days from time of issue.


Return / Exchange of Faulty Goods
Faulty or Damaged Goods Under Warranties
If the goods are being returned because they fail to comply with legal or manufacturer’s warranties, our Team Members will be able to advise you in regard to availability of a refund, exchange, repair agents or replacement of like product.

Complaints
If you have a concern please raise it with us first as we may be able to resolve the issue. You can speak to the pharmacist in charge or send us a note on our 'Feedback' form. If you are still concerned, you may lodge a formal complaint with the Privacy Commissioner at:
